2010 has a very high probability of being the warmest year since records have been kept from the 19th century.Land Temperatures in 2010 are supposed to be whopping 13.3 Degrees Centigrade higher than the average temperature of the 20th Century. This follows a severe global winter in which Europe and China saw record low temperatures.Though there is no exact convincing proof that this record hot year has anything do to with human induced GHG emissions , it certainly adds weight to the Global Warming argument. However governments have been cool to the development as have been the common people. This is due to the following reasons
Despite this , Global Warming and Climate Change remain the biggest threat to humankind in this century.Studies show that the longer we delay in reducing GHG emissions the harder it will be later on to reverse the process. There is even a small probability that the effects of Climate Change might be much worse that what is expected under the base scenario. The human and financial costs would be much lower if we act to curb our Carbon Emissions. However a Global Agreement on Climate Change remains as much as a Mirage as ever.
Yet so far in 2010 there has been record warmth especially in many tropical regions, Australia and parts of the Arctic — despite a chill start to the year in western Europe and some eastern parts of North America.”It’s more likely than not — greater than a 50 percent chance — that it will be the warmest year on record,” said Vicky Pope, head of climate change advice at the British Met Office Hadley Center, referring to global temperatures. That would eclipse 1998 and 2005 as the warmest years since records began and undermine an argument used by some skeptics that warming has peaked. The decade just finished was the warmest on record, ahead of the 1990s.n the first four months, land and ocean temperatures were 56 degrees Fahrenheit (13.3 C) and 1.24 F (0.69 C) above the 20th century average, the warmest on record in NOAA data

“You’ve got my vote. Even though I don’t with some of your ideas, they’re better than the disgusting perversion the US government has become. And three cheers for helping the West become oil independent! Let the Middle East go back to the primitive tribal state it was before oil was discovered.”
[…] National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has said that the last decade was the warmest… since the 19th century with temperatures a whopping 13.3 Degrees higher than the average for the 20th century.2010 is turning out to be a fitting finale for the decade with this year being on track to be the warmest year ever. It promises to be even hotter than 1998 and 2005 which were the previous record setters. The disastrous effects of the record heat has been felt the most in the Northern India states which have been reeling under the heat . The record heat has led to an acute water shortage in many of the cities,Heat Strokes leading to over 300 hospitalizations in the state of Gujarat alone and Famine like situations with water bodies drying up.The authorities are expecting the temperature to go as high as 50 Degrees Celsius (122 Degrees Fahrenheit) before the end of the Indian Summer. The end of summer is marked by the onset of the Monsoon (Rainy) Season which starts in most parts of India by mid of June.
