Make your cleaning eco-friendly

Most of us do some cleaning daily. We clean the house, do the laundry, and do the dishes. There are various ways that you can keep cleaning your house but do so in a way that benefits the environment. For example, by doing a bit of research you can find many recipes for homemade detergents and cleaning products that don’t contain any harmful toxins. If that sounds like too much effort, you can buy products that have the same effect. For example, the Enviroshot is a great way to make your cleaning more eco-friendly. You can also wait for a full load of laundry before you use the washing machine so that you’re not unnecessarily wasting water.

Enjoy restaurants, but responsibly

For many people, food is one of their major hobbies in life, especially when it means they get to go out and try new restaurants. There’s nothing wrong with this, but just be sure that you do so in a responsible way. For example, on this list of ways to reduce your usage of harmful plastics, one thing that is mentioned is the fact that you should eliminate your usage of single-use straws. Instead, invest in a metal straw that you keep in your bag for whenever you go out. If you don’t finish your food, take it home as a takeaway, since reducing waste is another way of being eco-friendly.

Use alternate transport

Many of our hobbies require transport. In fact, most of us use transport daily – to get to work, to go shopping, to go to sports events . . . That’s why a change in your transport could make a huge difference. While, of course, there are times you have no other choice but to use a car, you may be able to walk or use a bike at least now and then. This is a much more eco-friendly way of getting around, not to mention the many benefits of walking

Shopping

Most of us shop for our needs, but for a lot of people, shopping is a hobby. It makes them feel good and helps them pass the time. Even if shopping isn’t a hobby itself for you, you likely need to go shopping for hobby-related things – such as crafts, if your hobby is arts and crafts. Make sure that you are supporting ethical brands that try to help the environment instead of destroying it.
