List of Top Global Solar Energy Companies setting up Base in India Increasing Rapidly

India has a huge potential in Solar Energy Generation which is being strongly supported by the Federal Government under the JNNSM Scheme and by individual States like Gujarat and Rajasthan.Despite some initial hurdles,the long term growth story is strong leading to a rapid growth in the industry.Solar Power Companies in India are growing rapidly with both the private and public sector expanding to take advantage of the exponential growth.Now Top Global Solar Companies are also rapidly setting up base in India to leverage the growth through their skills and expertise.While most of the foreign companies entering India are mostly EPC Companies,some of the foreign solar panel producers have also tied up with local companies to distribute their products.India has a solar capacity connected to the grid in low double digit MW  which is expected to grow to more than 20000 MW in the next decade.Solar Thermal Companies like Abengoa,eSolar are also eyeing the Indian  market which has almost 50% of the Subsidy earmarked for the Concentrated Solar Power Technology.Here is a list of the Global Solar Companies entering the Indian market.

The list is a short one till now but note most of these top global companies have entered India on their  own or through JV in the last year.With the Indian solar market maturing,this list is going to see further rapid addition,as the growth in the European Solar Markets slows down due to Fiscal Concerns and Grid Saturation in some countries.While India remains a small market in absolute terms right now,its importance is growing as the biggest Thin Film Producer First Solar mentioned in its last earnings.After USA and China,India is considered as the biggest future market for solar panels products in the world.
